Another history was held within GEMS when one of the projects Carnival and Community Service “Jalinan Kasih Tautan Ukhwah” being officiated by Ms Fazura a representative from Khazanah on 15th August 2009 at Rhu 10, Setiu attended by GEMS Deputy Project Director, Pn. Che Nora, GEMS Site Manager, En. Azman Ibrahim and all delegations from Fire Brigade, Anti-Drug Agency and Local Health Department and En Mohd Rosli Harun, Coordinator of Perkaya. The carnival was coloured by silat performance, dikir barat, nasyid and telematch.
After the aerobic session and opening ceremony, the program continued with the performance from “Angkatan Anak Seni UMT” or AKASIA. They presented two traditional dances, “Tarian Rodat” and “Tarian Zapin Bunga Hutan” followed by Mr. Zack performance with two traditional song with the title “Kau Pergi Jua” and “Kain songket”.
All the villagers and GEMS participants give full of commitments in their works and the GEMS participants manage to work hand in hand with the villagers even though it’s first time they work together.
The program took a break for lunch and continued with the performance from the invited artist Fitri from UNIC and Destiny. Fitri preferred three songs, “Jalinan, Hanya Tuhan Yang Tahu” and “Remaja” but before he stated his performance he invited two audiences to the stage then asked them to choose one patriotic song and sang it.

The representative from the Rhu 10 village, Rosdi choosed “Bahtera Merdeka” and the representative from the GEMS participants, Haidzer Isa choosed “Tanggal 31”. Meanwhile the Destiny preferred “Junjungan Umat, Istana Kasih, Sayang Semua” and “Hati Kata Itu” in their performance.
The closing ceremony was held in late same afternoon. The prizes was delivered to the winners by the VIPs present during the ceremony. Participants and the audiences were very excited with the prizes they won from the activities on the carnival day.
Well done to all GEMS SRM02 participants foremost the organizer teams, Evo Enterprise, Ilmu Consultant Sdn. Bhd, Creaxxin Consultants Sdn. Bhd. and Wau Wow Travel Sdn. Bhd. because of the great job. With the theme “Tautan Kasih, Jalinan Ukhwah” the committee members invited an orphanage from PERKAYA and all the Rhu 10 Villagers to join all the GEMS participants in the Carnival Day and Community Service programs. This program was held at Rhu 10 Beach, Setiu Terengganu on 15th August 2009, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
