The Community Service Programme which was organized by SMEG Sdn. Bhd and Five Star Sdn. Bhd was held at Pantai Merang on 29th of May 2009. Promoting the slogan “Selaut Kasih, Seteguh Ikatan”, the Community Service involved villagers from Kampung Rhu Tapai,Kampung Merang, Kampung Pantai Merang, Kampung Setia Jaya,Kampung Lembah Bidong and Kampung Gong Tengah.
The VIPs during the Community Service ProgramGuests who attended the event were Mr. Sazimi bin Zainol, a representative from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Mr. Razali bin Rashid, GEMS Project Manager from Irshad HR Consulting Sdn. Bhd, Mr. Azman bin Ibrahim, GEMS Merang Suria Resort Site Manager and Mr. M. Abdul bin Jusoh a representative from and the Chairman of JKKK Mukim Merang.

The event was launched by Mr. Sazimi bin Zainol. The main objective of the programmed is to tighten the relationship between GEMS participants and villagers.
